Charles Schwab Corporation (SCHW) saw a 6% rally in shares after reporting a 44% increase in core net new assets to $48 billion in February. Total client assets rose by 16% to $10.28 trillion. The company also noted a 1% month-on-month increase in daily average trades to 7.45 million. Additionally, 362,000 new brokerage accounts were opened in February, marking the 15th consecutive month of at least 300,000 new account openings. The Schwab Trading Activity Index (STAX) rose to 51.94 in February. Retail sentiment on Stocktwits shifted to ‘bullish’ territory. SCHW shares are up over 5% in 2025 and 16% in the past year.
