A Super PAC network funded by the crypto industry is set to support two Republican candidates for the US House of Representatives in Florida’s special elections on April 1. The network includes Fairshake, Defend American Jobs, and Protect Progress, with plans to spend $1.2 million on ads for Florida State Senator Randy Fine.

Defend American Jobs will also spend $345,000 to back Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis in his bid to replace former representative Matt Gaetz. Patronis has expressed interest in investing state retirement funds in digital assets. There are currently four vacancies in the US House, with two in Florida.

Defend American Jobs previously supported Fine and Patronis during the primaries, spending over $500,000 and $200,000, respectively. The PAC focuses on supporting Republican candidates in the crypto industry. Fairshake, another prominent crypto PAC, has a more bipartisan approach, while Defend American Jobs leans towards Republicans.

Overall, the PAC raised and spent around $60 million from 2023 to 2024, primarily supporting Republican candidates. Unlike Fairshake, Defend American Jobs has not listed any spending support for Democratic candidates. The PAC is located in Alexandria, VA, and focuses on securities and investments, particularly in the crypto sector.
