The FCC is launching an investigation into Disney and ABC’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity regulations. This follows a similar probe into Comcast and NBCUniversal. The inquiry stems from an executive order signed by President Trump aiming to end DEI practices in U.S. corporations.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr is leading the investigation into Disney’s DEI policies, citing recent controversies. Disney is cooperating with the FCC and plans to address the commission’s questions. The FCC did not provide further comments beyond the initial letter. Comcast, parent company of NBCUniversal and CNBC, is also under scrutiny for similar reasons.
