The Ethereum Foundation announces new co-directors, Hsiao-Wei Wang and Tomasz Stańczak, to lead the organization starting March 17. Wang brings seven years of research experience, while Stańczak has expertise in scaling projects. These changes come as Ether prices struggle, layer-2 solutions compete, and investor confidence wanes.

To strengthen Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin proposed increasing transaction capacity and having layer-2 solutions pay fees to the base layer. The Foundation deposited 45,000 ETH worth $120 million into DeFi protocols to earn yield, signaling additional revenue sources. Social media marketing has become a priority, with the launch of Etherealize to target institutional investors.
