GameStop (GME) has priced its previously announced private offering of $1.3 billion in convertible senior notes, paving the way for the company to add bitcoin (BTC) to its balance sheet. The zero-coupon notes, due in 2030, will convert at a rate of 33.4970 shares per $1,000, with an initial conversion price of around $29.85 per share. Despite the announcement, GME’s stock closed down at $22.09 on Thursday, a 35% premium over its recent closing price. If successful, GameStop could become the fourth largest corporate holder of BTC, behind Riot Platforms (RIOT) and ahead of Tesla (TSLA).
