Global Active ETF Assets Hit Record High $1.3 Trillion

Global assets in active exchange-traded funds hit a new record of $1.3 trillion by February 2025, with $51.7 billion in inflows that month alone. Active ETFs are now nearly 9% of the U.S. market, approaching $1 trillion in assets. Equity-focused ETFs led February inflows, with $25.1 billion.
The growth of actively managed ETFs reflects a shift in investor behavior, with $103.7 billion in net inflows so far in 2025, surpassing previous records. The U.S. active ETF market is on track to exceed $1 trillion in assets. Despite market fluctuations, active ETF assets continue to rise.
Equity-focused active ETFs attracted the most inflows in February, totaling $25.1 billion globally, followed closely by fixed-income active ETFs with $22.1 billion. The Janus Henderson AAA CLO ETF topped individual fund rankings with $2 billion in net new assets. The JPMorgan Ultra-Short Income ETF and iShares High Yield Muni Active ETF also saw significant inflows.
Global active ETF marketplace now offers 3,395 products from 543 providers across 40 exchanges in 32 countries. Active ETFs have seen significant growth, with January 2025 setting a record of $43 billion in inflows. Active ETFs have consistently grown more than 20% per year since 2019.
The global active ETF market continues to expand, with assets hitting $1.3 trillion in February 2025. The U.S. active ETF market is approaching $1 trillion in assets, with $956 billion as of February. Despite market fluctuations, active ETF assets have shown resilience and growth.
