Harfang Exploration Inc. has started its winter diamond drill program at the Sky Lake Gold Project in Ontario’s Pickle Lake Gold District. The focus will be on the Koval patented claims with approximately 170 meters drilled so far. The region has a history of high-grade gold mineralization near the surface.
The Sky Lake property covers 9,100 hectares and is strategically located between past-producing gold deposits in the area. Nearby infrastructure includes highway 599 and power transmission lines. The geological environment is similar to the Abitibi region, known for gold deposits.
The Koval patented claims are part of a larger land package and have a history of high-grade gold mineralization in shallow drill holes. The property recently underwent a VTEM survey that detected numerous EM isolated anomalies associated with strong magnetic responses.
Harfang Exploration Inc. has received all required permits for the Winter Drilling program at the Sky Lake Gold Project. The Company acknowledges the traditional territory of the Mishkeegogamang Ojibway First Nation and is committed to respecting their rights and culture during exploration activities.
Ludovic Bigot, VP Exploration of Harfang, has reviewed and approved the technical information for the project. Harfang Exploration Inc. is focused on discovering ore deposits in Québec and Ontario and is dedicated to best practices and environmental responsibility in its operations.
