Australian minerals exploration company Helix Resources has secured conditional binding agreements with Centric Minerals Management and White Hills Exploration to acquire the White Hills copper-gold project in Arizona, US. The project, spanning 23km², is near the Mineral Park mine and is prospective for porphyry and IOCG deposits. Helix can acquire 100% of the project through payments and share issuances. Initial payment is A$100,000, with further payments and capital raising required.

Helix must spend $500,000 on exploration by 2026, with additional payments triggered by a positive feasibility study. Newmont can opt to buy back into the project at a later stage. Additionally, Newmont will retain a 2.5% net smelter return royalty on production from the property. Executive chairman Mike Povey sees the White Hills project as an exciting opportunity for the company.

In November 2024, Helix Resources, through its subsidiary Leichhardt Resources, entered conditional binding agreements to acquire a 51% stake in a portfolio of copper projects in the Bryah Basin in Western Australia. The move adds to Helix’s expanding mineral exploration portfolio.
