Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Q1 earnings report 2025

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) CEO Antonio Neri announced quarterly and full-year guidance that missed consensus, causing shares to drop 16% in extended trading. In the fiscal Q1, revenue rose 16% to $7.85 billion, with profit of $598 million. HPE plans a cost-cutting program leading to $350 million in savings by 2027. The U.S. Justice Department filed a lawsuit to block HPE’s acquisition of Juniper Networks, with a trial expected in July. HPE projects adjusted earnings per share of 28-34 cents for Q2, falling short of analyst expectations. For fiscal year 2025, HPE forecasts adjusted earnings per share of $1.70-$1.90, below analyst estimates of $2.13 per share. HPE shares were up 2% in 2025, while the S&P 500 was down 2%. Executives will discuss results on a conference call at 5 p.m. ET.
