Hyundai is producing its first-ever three-row electric vehicle, the IONIQ 9, at the new Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Georgia. The plant will produce up to 500,000 electric and hybrid vehicles annually for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands. The massive investment includes $21 billion in U.S. manufacturing growth, creating 14,000 new jobs by 2028. President Trump announced 25% import tariffs on cars and auto parts, affecting Asian automakers like Hyundai and Kia. The facility is an intelligent manufacturing plant, optimizing production processes with AI and data. Kia aims to boost U.S. sales to 1.25 million vehicles yearly.
