Kraken has secured a $1.5 billion deal to acquire NinjaTrader, a U.S. retail futures trading platform, in the largest-ever transaction between the crypto sector and traditional finance. NinjaTrader, serving nearly two million traders, will expand Kraken’s service offerings to include U.S. crypto futures and derivatives. This acquisition aims to bridge the gap between traditional finance and crypto, enhancing trading experiences for users across asset classes. NinjaTrader will operate as a standalone entity within Kraken, alongside other applications like Cryptowatch and Staked. The deal is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2025.
