Nvidia plans to invest billions in the U.S. supply chain over the next four years, following a trend of tech companies onshoring manufacturing. Other tech giants like Meta, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are also investing billions in U.S.-based data centers to fuel AI operations. Trump announced a joint venture called Stargate, aiming to invest $100 billion in U.S. data centers. Nvidia currently dominates the AI chip market, holding between 70% and 95% share.
GE Aerospace recently announced a nearly $1 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing, joining other companies making similar commitments under the Trump administration. Trump heralds these investments as a boost to the U.S. economy. The AI arms race continues to heat up as companies race to build new data centers and invest in AI technology.
