Xolair more effective for food allergies with fewer side effects and FDA-approved

Roche announced new positive data from the OUtMATCH study, which compared Xolair to multi-allergen OIT for food allergies. Xolair was more effective with fewer side effects in the study. Preliminary results from Stage 3 showed some patients could introduce allergenic foods after stopping Xolair. The study was presented at the AAAAI Annual Meeting. FDA approved Xolair for reducing allergic reactions in food allergy patients, making it the first FDA-approved medicine for this use. Xolair is a key treatment option for the food allergy community. The study was sponsored by the NIH and supported by Genentech and Novartis.
