Robinhood is expanding its services to include wealth management and private banking for users with modest portfolios. ‘Robinhood Strategies’ offers a 0.25% annual fee, capped at $250, for premium ‘Gold’ subscribers. Users with as little as $50 in investments can access portfolios managed by Robinhood’s experts, reflecting the demand for professional advice among retail traders.
The move aims to provide personalized wealth management, traditionally reserved for high-net-worth clients, to a wider audience. Robinhood will also introduce an AI investment tool in 2025 for real-time market analysis. Additionally, a private banking product for Gold subscribers will offer estate planning, tax advice, and exclusive perks like tickets to events such as the Met Gala and Oscars.
By offering premium services, Robinhood hopes to increase adoption of its Gold subscription and make financial products more accessible to a broader demographic. The company’s shares have risen 29% this year, amidst a 5.4% drop in the Nasdaq composite index. Robinhood aims to democratize access to financial products and provide users with tools for building wealth and financial independence.
