Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling out White House AI and Crypto Czar David Sacks for potential conflicts of interest and lack of transparency regarding his digital asset holdings. Trump’s involvement in digital asset policy decisions and Sacks’ alleged sale of crypto before his appointment are under scrutiny.

Sacks, who was appointed as a crypto czar by Trump in December 2024, faced criticism from Sen. Warren for his involvement in the administration’s digital asset policies. Trump’s executive order in January established a working group on digital asset regulation, led by Sacks, with plans to include XRP, Solana, and Cardano in the US crypto reserve.

Sen. Warren raised concerns about Trump’s conflicts of interest in launching a memecoin and the SEC’s actions benefiting the president. She demanded answers from Sacks regarding his crypto investments and urged him to address the issues at the White House crypto summit where industry leaders and crypto CEOs will be present.
