Sensex and Nifty expected to decline due to global market volatility

Indian shares may open lower following global trends amid concerns of a potential U.S. recession. Sensex and Nifty closed slightly lower on Monday. The rupee fell by 36 paise to 87.31 against the dollar. Foreign institutional investors were net sellers, while domestic investors were net buyers. Asian markets also dropped 1-2 percent, and gold prices rose marginally. Oil prices continued to decline. U.S. stocks tumbled, with the Nasdaq falling 4 percent. European stocks closed lower due to tariff concerns and fears of a U.S. recession, with STOXX 600 down 1.3 percent.
