Indian shares opened higher on Monday, with the Sensex up 227 points and Nifty rising by 65 points. Shriram Finance, Bajaj FinServ, BEL, Bajaj Finance, and Power Grid Corp saw gains, while Larsen & Toubro, Tent, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Bajaj Auto were down. IndusInd Bank lost 3% as RBI extended CEO’s term by a year. IREDA fell 1% after RBI rejected its request to invest in a Nepal project. Gensol Engineering tumbled 3.6% ahead of a board meet for fund raising, while Tata Power rallied 2.2% after signing a pact for renewable energy projects.
