Stock market corrections are common, with 27 occurring since November 1974. Only six of these corrections evolved into bear markets. Investors should view pullbacks as opportunities to invest at a discount, especially for younger investors with time for recovery. Dollar-cost averaging through workplace plans can benefit from market dips.

During market pullbacks, investors should be mindful of their stock/bond allocations. Diverging from a well-laid financial plan may not be advisable. However, investors with cash on hand can take advantage of undervalued stocks, like U.S. large-cap stocks selling at a 5% discount relative to fair market value according to Morningstar.
