Winsome Resources seeks a strategic partner for its Adina lithium project in Quebec to advance studies and construction. Adina holds 78mt at 1.12% lithium oxide, with a production forecast of over 256,000 tonnes per annum. Winsome plans to repurpose Renard diamond mine infrastructure for Adina, saving $500m in capital costs.
Winsome aims to secure a strategic partner to support Adina project phases. The company has four projects in Quebec and is exploring caesium potential at Sirmac-Clapier. Winsome also holds a 20% share in Power Metals Corporation and sees Case Lake becoming the only operating caesium mine globally in 12-18 months.
Global caesium producers in 2024 were Canada, China, Germany, and Russia, with the US reliant on imports. Winsome sees quick potential profits in the caesium market due to the ability to mine entire ‘pods’ representing years of supply. Evans emphasizes the speed at which caesium projects can be brought online for profit.
