1inch has launched on Solana, offering users the ability to trade over 1 million Solana-based tokens directly through its DApp. Fusion protocol on Solana promises efficient trading execution with minimal fees, costing less than one cent per swap. Plans for crosschain swaps with over 10 blockchains are in the works.
Solana has outperformed Ethereum and layer-2 networks in key DeFi metrics, with 33% higher DEX trading volume, 400% more transactions, and 180% more active addresses. 1inch’s expansion into Solana aims to tap into its growing adoption and performance improvements, offering a serious alternative to Ethereum in the DeFi landscape.
1inch’s integration with Solana includes access to six APIs through the Developer Portal, allowing builders to create new DApps and services on top of the 1inch-Solana infrastructure. The DEX aggregator first revealed its solution to crosschain interoperability issues in a white paper in Sept. 2024, and later introduced “Fusion+” to enable crosschain swaps with self-custody of assets.
