4L Managed Accounting has named Laurence Winters as its new COO, bringing over 15 years of experience in legal technology and services. Winters previously held the position of chief client officer at SurePoint Technologies. The company provides tailored accounting support to mid-size law firms, serving 108 firms with 1,619 lawyers in 2024.

Winters expressed excitement about his new role, highlighting 4L’s reputation for combining modern business practices with legal excellence. He will join the leadership team alongside co-founder Heather Tang, Annette Bennett, and CEO Mike Marget. Marget praised Winters’ track record in driving success through innovation and technology in the legal marketplace.

4L Managed Accounting processed 235,000 client invoices totaling $795m in 2024. The company also managed payrolls worth $162m and handled over 320,000 accounts payable and trust transactions amounting to $814m. Additionally, they conducted numerous monthly bank reconciliations for their clients.
