Qualcomm is considering acquiring U.K. semiconductor firm Alphawave, boosting its shares in London. The decision must be made by April 29 to comply with U.K. regulations. Alphawave’s stock surged nearly 47% on Tuesday. Arm Holdings also considered a takeover of the company. Qualcomm recently acquired VinAI’s generative AI division to enhance AI solutions for smartphones, PCs, and vehicles. Alphawave and Qualcomm have not commented on the potential offer.
