Alstom has won a contract worth €781m ($845m) from the Moroccan National Railway Office to supply 18 Avelia Horizon very high-speed trains. The trains are designed to operate at speeds exceeding 300km/h, reducing travel times and environmental impact. The double-decker trains offer operational flexibility and a better passenger experience. Alstom claims the Avelia Horizon model has lower operating costs and the highest seating capacity on the market. Additionally, Alstom will provide rail traffic control systems for the Poznan freight bypass in Poland, modernizing existing devices and supplying new line equipment.
