Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) is investing over $4 billion to expand its rural delivery network, focusing on small towns in the US for faster delivery to customers. The expansion will create over 100,000 new jobs and expand the network to over 200 delivery stations.

Upon completion, Amazon’s network will be able to deliver over a billion more packages annually to customers in 13,000 zip codes across 1.20 million square miles, equivalent to the size of Alaska, California, and Texas combined.
