The average retail diesel price fell by 4.5 cents a gallon to $3.534, marking the second consecutive weekly decline. Despite a volatile April for ultra low sulfur diesel futures, prices have fluctuated within a range of $2.04 to $2.11. However, ULSD rose by 1.86% to $2.1071 a gallon on Tuesday. Retail prices have dropped by 10.5 cents a gallon due to catching up to earlier decreases in futures markets. Analysts attribute fluctuations in petroleum markets to factors like fluctuations in equity prices and demand projections, with reports suggesting a potential slowdown in China’s demand growth amidst trade tensions.
