‘Bitcoin Standard’ author to develop Austrian economics curriculum for UK school

Lomond School in Scotland partners with Bitcoin author Saifedean Ammous to introduce Bitcoin and Austrian economics curriculum. The school will accept Bitcoin for tuition payments starting autumn 2025, becoming the first in the UK to do so. Ammous’ book, The Bitcoin Standard, has sold over one million copies and been translated into 38 languages. Various educational institutions globally are embracing Bitcoin, offering courses on the subject since 2013. Schools like the University of Nicosia, New York University, and Stanford have launched Bitcoin-related courses, with the University of Austin recently announcing a $5 million Bitcoin investment fund. Emory University also accumulated over $15 million worth of Bitcoin through Grayscale’s spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund.
