ABC Technologies acquires TI Fluid Systems, enhancing global presence and product offerings

Canadian firm ABC Technologies has finalized the acquisition of TI Fluid Systems, a provider of automotive fluid storage systems, in a deal valued at over £1.8bn ($2.37bn). The transaction involved an all-cash offer for the entire share capital of the British company, with TI Fluid Systems shareholders receiving 200 pence per share.

TI Fluid Systems, operating in 27 countries, serves major automotive manufacturers. The acquisition is expected to enhance the global presence and product offerings of the combined entity, named TI Automotive. With a revenue of $5.4bn and a workforce of 34,600 across 26 countries, TI Automotive will be led by ABC Technologies CEO Terry Campbell.

Majority ownership of TI Automotive is held by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, with Oaktree Capital Management having a minority equity interest. The new entity will focus on driving innovation and manufacturing excellence, laying the groundwork for future growth under the leadership of Terry Campbell. The headquarters of TI Automotive will be in Auburn Hills, Michigan, with a regional operating model in place.
