Canopius Group appoints Andrew Ziolkowski as head of Australia and New Zealand, starting October 25. He will oversee Canopius’ activities in ANZ and APAC, reporting to Canopius CEO SK Lee. Ziolkowski brings 28 years of industry experience, including roles at QBE Insurance and Zurich Financial Services. Craig Elliot remains with Canopius as head of casualty for ANZ.

Ziolkowski aims to drive Canopius’ growth in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on delegated authority and open market business expansion. Canopius previously approved Qubit as a coverholder, enabling them to offer digital asset custody and crime insurance products from Hong Kong. SK Lee commends Elliot’s interim management and looks forward to Ziolkowski’s leadership.
