Capital Southwest Corporation announced that its subsidiary, Capital Southwest SBIC II, LP, has received a license from the SBA to operate as an SBIC, allowing it to issue SBA-guaranteed debentures up to $175 million, bringing the total borrowing capacity to $350 million. The SBIC program has been key to Capital Southwest’s lower middle market investment strategy since 2021. With approximately $1.7 billion in investments, Capital Southwest focuses on supporting middle market businesses with investments ranging from $5 million to $50 million across the capital structure, including first lien, second lien, and non-control equity co-investments.
