CapMan Hotels II has acquired Midstar Fastigheter, adding 28 hotel properties across Sweden, Denmark, and Norway to its portfolio. The transaction closed on March 31, 2025, making it the largest of its kind in the region. The portfolio, managed by CapMan Real Estate, currently consists of 4,709 rooms, with plans to increase to 4,887 by 2027.

The hotels, operated by Scandic Hotels Group and Strawberry, are strategically located in metropolitan and regional areas, complementing CMH II’s existing assets. As an open-ended core plus fund focusing on Nordic hotel properties, this acquisition diversifies CMH II’s portfolio. The private asset company aims to add value through active management, refurbishment, and emission reduction strategies.

CapMan Real Estate has welcomed new additions to its hotel team, including Marcus Carlsson as senior property director and Robin Stenlund as investment director and portfolio manager. Simon Hultén has been promoted to investment director and deputy fund director. The acquisition has strengthened CapMan’s position in the Nordic hotel investment market and attracted new investors, contributing to the growth of CapMan Group’s assets under management.
