CAPREIT selling 1,550 residential suites in the Netherlands for over $561 million.

CAPREIT’s subsidiary of ERES has agreed to sell 1,446 residential suites in the Netherlands for approximately $522 million, with an additional sale of one 104-suite property for $39 million. The net proceeds will fund a special cash distribution of $1.24 per ERES Unit, with CAPREIT expecting to receive $189 million. The Pending Disposition is expected to close between August and September 2025, reducing CAPREIT’s European exposure. Proceeds will be used to repay debt, acquire rental properties, and for general business purposes. CAPREIT’s CEO, Mark Kenney, highlights the progress made in repositioning objectives.
