Chile’s Codelco to supply copper concentrates to Adani Group’s $1.2bn smelter in Gujarat, India. Codelco expected to start supplies this year to Kutch Copper Limited, reducing India’s copper import reliance due to Vedanta’s Sterlite Copper closure. Smelter, largest of its kind globally, also ventures into wire and cable production, sourcing concentrates from Chile.
