China Shares Overdue For Consolidation On Friday

The Shanghai Composite Index closed just above 3,280 points, but investors may take profits on Friday. Global markets are soft due to uncertainty over U.S. President Trump’s tariffs. The SCI edged higher Thursday, driven by property stocks but dragged down by financials. The index closed at 3,280.34. U.S. markets closed mostly lower, with the Dow dropping 1.33 percent. Crude oil prices surged 3.5 percent to $64.68 a barrel on concerns about Iranian oil sanctions.
