ASML warns of tariff uncertainty impacting chip equipment demand, lower than expected sales

Dutch semiconductor equipment giant ASML missed order expectations and warned of uncertainty due to new U.S. trade restrictions affecting demand for chipmaking machines. Net sales for the first quarter were 7.74 billion euros, lower than expected.
