DoorDash has partnered with Coco Robotics to deliver food orders in parts of Los Angeles and Chicago, following a successful pilot program in Helsinki, Finland. The Coco robots will deliver from nearly 600 DoorDash merchants, helping to meet increasing demand while reducing costs and emissions. This move comes amid competition in sidewalk robot delivery between delivery giants like Uber Eats and Grubhub. DoorDash previously partnered with Wing to deliver via drones in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Investor interest in DoorDash has been strong since joining the S&P 500 index last month.
