U.S. energy company EQT plans to reduce capital spending but increase energy production by 2025, aiming to spend $1.950-$2.070 billion on maintenance capital and produce 6.03-6.30 bcfed per day, citing strong well performance and synergies from a 2024 acquisition. EQT also agreed to acquire assets from Olympus Energy for $1.8 billion.
Rival Range Resources will maintain steady capital expenditures of $650-$690 million in 2025 to produce 2.2 bcfed, unchanged from its February outlook. Range is collaborating with Liberty Energy and Imperial Land to supply gas to a proposed power generation facility in Pennsylvania, aiming to attract data centers and industrial operations seeking energy solutions. Other big U.S. gas producers, including Expand Energy, will report earnings soon.
