Ivanhoe Electric is considering a $825m debt financing offer from the EXIM Bank for the Santa Cruz Copper Project in Arizona. The project, led by Fluor, has substantial copper resources, aligning with the Make More in America initiative to boost domestic production and national security. Ivanhoe is evaluating this offer alongside other financing options. If the application is submitted, due diligence will determine final lending feasibility, with construction potentially starting in 2026. In August 2024, Ivanhoe secured full ownership of the Santa Cruz Project mineral rights after meeting the final payment requirement.
