Ford Motor Co. reported a 1.3% decline in total U.S. sales for the first quarter, totaling 501,291 vehicles. This drop was attributed to timing issues with daily rental fleet sales and lost volume from the discontinuation of certain models. However, retail sales increased by 5%, with March results spiking by 19%. The company also saw a 25.5% growth in total electrified vehicle sales, reaching 73,623 units, driven by strong performances in hybrids and electric vehicles. SUV sales fell by 16.7%, while car sales dropped by 31.6%, but truck sales grew by 15% to 290,387 units.
