Vietnamese restaurant group Golden Gate has acquired a 99.98% stake in The Coffee House for VND270bn ($10.5m) from Seedcom. The acquisition price is significantly lower than The Coffee House’s previous $50m valuation due to pandemic-related challenges. The Coffee House, once with 150 outlets, now operates 93 sites mainly in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Despite a revenue surge in 2022, the brand experienced an 11% drop the following year with ongoing financial struggles. Golden Gate, a major player in Vietnam’s F&B industry, now owns The Coffee House as part of its 22 brand portfolio.
