Asset manager Grayscale files to list an ETF with a diverse basket of spot cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, and Cardano. The fund has over $600 million in assets under management and is only available to accredited investors. NYSE Arca requested permission to list the fund on Oct. 29.
ETF issuers are speeding up crypto product launches following a softer stance on digital asset regulation. The SEC approved the first batch of mixed crypto index ETFs in December, sponsored by Hashdex and Fidelity, holding only Bitcoin and Ether. Crypto index ETFs are a major focus for Wall Street’s issuers, with a dozen exchange filings related to cryptocurrency ETFs addressing issues such as staking and options for existing funds, as well as new fund proposals for altcoins like Solana and XRP.
