U.S. home improvement retailer Lowe’s Cos to buy Artisan Design Group for $1.33 billion from Sterling Group. Deal aims to expand professional customer offerings amid slower demand. Home Depot previously acquired SRS Distribution for $18.25 billion. Artisan Design, based in Dallas, made $1.8 billion in revenue in 2024.

Lowe’s plans to fund the deal with cash on hand. Artisan Design has 3,200 installers across 18 states. Transaction expected to close in the second quarter of 2025 pending necessary approvals. Centerview Partners LLC advises Lowe’s, and RBC Capital Markets advises Artisan Design.
