Hope Bancorp has finalized its acquisition of Territorial Bancorp, overcoming challenges from competing bids. Territorial shareholders ultimately voted in favor of the sale to Hope, which now has about $2 billion in assets and gains entry to Hawaii. Hope aims to strengthen its position as a leading Asian-American bank in the U.S.
