HPQ Silicon and Novacium partner with GLD Alloys to produce eco-friendly METAGENE™ hydrogen fuel
From GlobeNewswire: 2025-04-10 07:30:00
HPQ Silicon Inc. and Novacium SAS have signed a MoU with GLD Alloys to accelerate the production of METAGENE™ fuel, generating 1.25 m³ of hydrogen per kilogram. The use of recycled aluminum by GLD results in a 95% reduction in carbon emissions, positioning METAGENE™ as a key player in the green energy market.
Through the partnership, HPQ, Novacium, and GLD aim to reduce production costs by 30–50% compared to other technologies. A pilot phase in 2025 will produce 10 kg of hydrogen per day, with commercial production expected to reach 500 tonnes of METAGENE™ fuel per year by 2027, meeting high-demand applications.
METAGENE™ offers an environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution in the green hydrogen market, which is projected to reach US$500 billion by 2030. With a focus on disrupting the industry with minimal carbon footprint, HPQ and Novacium are poised to lead the next wave of hydrogen-based green energy. HPQ Silicon, a Canadian company, is expanding its technical team to develop silicon and renewable energy projects. The company focuses on green manufacturing, battery materials, hydrogen production, and aluminum dross transformation. HPQ aims to become a zero CO2 producer of High Purity Silicon.
