Hyundai freezes US car prices through June to support American consumers and jobs

Hyundai Motor Company announced it will not raise vehicle prices in the US despite the 25% import tariff threat. They launched a customer assurance program to maintain current prices for customers who purchase or lease a new Hyundai vehicle before June 2, 2025.

José Muñoz, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, emphasized their commitment to providing stability in uncertain times for consumers. The company aims to support American consumers and jobs by maintaining prices and investing in the US market.

Hyundai Motor Group completed construction of a new assembly plant in Georgia with an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles. Plans include expanding production capacity to 1 million units in the US. The group sold 1.7 million vehicles in 2024, relying on exports from South Korea and Mexico.

HMG announced a $21bn investment in the US to enhance production capacity, develop technologies, and upgrade energy infrastructure by 2025. The Metaplant America facility will be expanded to produce 500,000 units per year. The company remains committed to the American market and consumers.
