Kempinski Hotels and BTG Hotels extend partnership in China to enhance luxury hospitality. CEO Barbara Muckermann lauds the strong collaboration. Investment plan focuses on expanding Chinese heritage portfolio, launching new lifestyle brand, and global growth. Existing partnership spans over three decades, with 22 hotels currently operating in China.
Strategic move includes integrating membership systems for cooperation. Kempinski’s entry into China began in 1992, leading to the formation of Key Co. in 2001. Partnership extended in 2018 for an additional 50 years. Chief Product Officer Rasha Lababidi emphasizes commitment to local market with new lifestyle brand.
In addition to China initiatives, Kempinski announces plans to manage Nymphenburg Palace Royal Residence in Munich, Germany. The collaboration aims to drive luxury hospitality in China with a focus on expansion, unique experiences, and service excellence for domestic travelers.
