Kinder Morgan Inc. is a major natural gas transmission and storage company in North America. It went public again in February 2011 through a $3.3 billion initial public offering after going private in May 2007. Following a late 2014 consolidation of its former operating entities, KMI no longer has a master limited partnership structure. The company operates 82,000 miles of pipelines and 180 terminals, transporting natural gas, petroleum products, crude oil, and more. Its terminals store petroleum, chemicals, ethanol, coal, coke, and steel.
