Global markets are down due to trade war fears after China retaliated against U.S. tariffs. On Friday, the KOSPI closed 0.86 percent lower at 2,465.42. Major companies like Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix saw declines, while LG Chem and Lotte Chemical experienced gains. Wall Street also plummeted, with the Dow falling 5.50 percent, NASDAQ dropping 5.82 percent, and S&P 500 plunging 5.97 percent. Concerns about a global trade war persist, impacting oil prices as well.
