A crypto lawyer sues the US Department of Homeland Security, suspecting the agency knows who created Bitcoin. The FOIA lawsuit seeks documentation of an alleged interview between DHS agents and four individuals tied to Bitcoin’s creation.

DHS Special Agent Rana Saoud claimed in April 2019 that her colleagues met with the alleged Bitcoin creators to understand their motives and Bitcoin’s purpose.

Efforts to uncover Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity have failed, with recent claims linking individuals like Peter Todd, Nick Szabo, Adam Back, and Hal Finney to being Satoshi. The Bitcoin community debates whether revealing Satoshi’s identity would benefit or harm Bitcoin’s decentralized ethos.
