From NASDAQ: 2025-04-28 11:17:00

This week in the stock market is packed with important economic data. We are anticipating reports on job openings, private sector payrolls, and the latest Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) data. Additionally, Q1 earnings reports from various companies are highly awaited.

Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) are expected to decline to 7.4 million for March. Private sector payrolls are projected to show a gain of 110K jobs, while Weekly Jobless Claims may see a slight increase. Nonfarm payrolls are likely to drop to 130K for April.

The PCE report is expected to show drops in both month-over-month and year-over-year headline figures. Core PCE, excluding food and energy, is forecasted to decrease as well. This data is crucial as it is the Federal Reserve’s preferred measure of inflation.

Domino’s Pizza reported Q1 earnings, with earnings exceeding estimates but revenues missing. Negative U.S. comps were offset by positive International results. Other companies releasing earnings this week include NXP Semiconductors, Nucor, F5, Meta, Microsoft, Apple, and Amazon.
