Meta Platforms (META) disclosed in a SEC filing that CEO Mark Zuckerberg received $27.22 million in total compensation for 2024, up from $24.4 million in 2023. His compensation ratio to median employee pay was 65:1. Zuckerberg took a $1 salary but majority of his compensation was for security costs.

Zuckerberg pledged 12,000,000 shares of Meta’s Class B common stock to secure debt, representing 3.5% of his total beneficial shares and 0.5% of outstanding shares as of April 1, 2025. The compensation committee and board approved this pledge. The shares represent 2.1% of total voting power.
